Maine has been offering retreat and renewal for people for centuries.

Through Yoga in Maine, I offer Kripalu yoga classes, workshops and retreats in beautiful places and spaces in Maine, and beyond, for people looking to nurture their inner spark of vitality and creativity, to restore balance in a busy life and to connect with body, mind and spirit to live more fully in the world.

My yoga journey began in college, (further back than I care to count!), where I initially sought out yoga as a technique to build stronger focus.. Yoga did help me with my focus and also introduced me to a path of awareness of my physical and emotional life that has guided me ever since.  As time progressed and as I found myself in a busy yet sometimes overloaded life juggling career, civic life and family, that keen sense of the balance that supports my health and energy has consistently lead me to seek more yoga.

Throughout my initial and on-going training at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Lenox, we  often say, "Things are good?" Do more Yoga! "Things are difficult?" Do more Yoga! And so doing more yoga has become a mantra of sorts for the last 15 years as I work, teach and live my practice while offering service in the world everyday,. Over the past decade, I've returned to Kripalu many times to assist with programs and continue my training with some of the best yoga teachers and trainers today, including Jennifer Reis, Amy Weintraub, Stephen Cope, Rudy Peirce, Martha Abbott and Diana Damelio. The exploration of yoga is rich and deeply nourishing.

Today, I offer regular gentle/moderate asana classes and deep relaxation classes through the practice of Yoga Nidra.  I lead annual retreats which offer a chance to step away from the busy rhythms of life and deepen the practice. In September, the Borestone Mountain Meditation retreat offers a weekend of quiet deep in the Maine mountains and in May, the Spring Energizer Retreat offers an active weekend of walking, cycling and yoga on Cape Cod. All experiences offer the opportunity to connect to body and soul throughout the seasons.

Come join me and the wonderful community of fellow practitioners of yoga!
